Join us for an guided walk in Gatineau Park. This is a great opportunity to try snowshoeing and enjoy the outdoors. An experienced guide will teach you about the park and the activity will end with hot chocolate for everyone!

Date of outing: Thursday, January 30, 2020

Schedule:

  • 12:15 p.m.: Meet us on the ground floor of CRX, 100 Louis-Pasteur, near Tim Hortons.

 

  • 12:30 p.m.: Departure from campus. We will take a school bus to Gatineau Park.

  • 1:00 p.m.: Arrival at the Visitor Centre.

    • ​Guides will give instructions and hand out snowshoes.​

    • Guides will take you on a snowshoe hike (about one hour) to discover Gatineau Park's natural setting

    • ​Hot chocolate will be served, and you will have a chance to take a look at the Visitor Centre exhibit.

  • 3:00 p.m. at the latest: Departure from the Visitor Centre.

Cost: It’s free!

Registration period: Limited space. First come, first served! Extension of the registration period until the group is full.

Keep in mind:

  • Eat lunch before departure. There are no restaurants or stores in Gatineau Park.

  • Dress in layers that can be taken off with ease. It might be a very cold day but you’ll get warmer as you walk up and down the hills.

  • Wear gloves or mitts, a hat, a scarf and comfortable sporty winter boots (no shoes!). Waterproof snow pants are recommended..

  • Bring your student card.

  • Bring your health insurance information.
